His Disk is called a "Button" disk.
They actually grab better than conventional disk.
Very common in large trucks.
They resist teasing the clutch on take off better. You have to release and go otherwise they tend to "hop" the vehicle. That's why you see large trucks sometimes hopping at start.
They will however slip very easily if you "ride" the clutch while pulling.
You need to keep your foot completely off of it.
Still the pressure plate could be too week?
But as Will claims they say it's strong enough?
