A gentlemen I used to know who was in WW2 told me they used to put the u-joints in a steel helmet, fill it with water and put it on a fire to boil the water. The cosmoline will float to the top. Pump grease through it while it's still warm and your ready to go! I did this with a NOS 3rd member and it worked real well. john
