although your descriptions are likely accurate, pictures are really worth a 1000 words. if they were running rigs, that had wilbur like patina and were not beat, you'd be into the price range you are talking about (north of 5-6k). you truly almost never make any real money on old trucks when you honestly figure what your time is worth in the deal. if you could get them up & running- a full service, boil out gas tank & do a full brake job yourself you'd be on your way to making the trucks sell easier. its never that easy though. if you were trying to do the deal to save the trucks, upgrade to a better rig than your 49, (if the new ones are better), id say go for it. you could likely make a few bucks on the parts and come out a couple grand ahead. i dont see a windfall though. i have my eye on an old power wagon with a special coach built body. its been for sale for a long time. to do it, id have to get a truck like you are offering for the good nose sheetmetal and frame. a late pw frame would be ideal and the larger engine and winch would be a plus. bottom line is i know once i start its a 30k project the way i want it done + the work to do it. its not on my radar screen right now.....
