I never took the wife or kids on a truck hauling road trip, becasue I couldn't imagine how long it would take.
I think that eating healthy food on trips helps you stay awake longer also, instead of truck stop gut bombs! that always make me sleepy.
Back when I was hauling trucks around more for hire, I put 185k on my truck in less then a year % half.
