I had the running board on my Bumblebee and Carryall coated with Line-X. I just had the coat on the tread area, where you always walk. You can see in the picture the Line-X area. It extends from the rear of the cab to the A post. Its skid free, never wears and always looks great.

I had the Bandit's running boards coated with Rhino. In 'MY' opinion, it looks like crap. Its not nearly as skid resistant, just looks bad. And it already has some digs and scratches. I have seen the same thing from other shops that Rhino coat. I have never seen a bad looking Line-X Job. This summer I plan to strip the Rhino off the running boards and have it re-shot with Line-X

My W300, when complete, will have the running boards Line-X coated. I feel its a totally maintenance free way to keep the running board looking nice and be skid resistant.
