Or not? My '47-'56 parts book shows three trannies, two early took one pin, later took a different. I'd though there were only two crash boxes, now I see three? But my serial number is 'after'...
Anyhow, I guess D.C.'s pin goes in easily from the inside, without too much hammering? So more easily replaced later?
I know a straight pin sure tightened mine up.
