One section basically says that the only reason to have synthetic engine oil is if you live in an area with very cold winters. With a more temperate climate, you would be better off with conventional engine oil.
But, they recommend synthetic tranny, tc and diff oils (they do not get combustion process contamination), and offer better performance.
