An actual "Jake Brake" is NO comparison to an Exhaust Brake at least on my Ford. Reason is that the Ford uses hydraulic lifters that lessens the back pressure that can be applied to the exhaust which is how and exhaust brake works. Cummins, from what I understand can have MORE back pressure thereby having a more efficient "Exhaust Brake". However, NOTHING beats a TRUE Jake Brake.d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-!!!!!!!!
