There are lots of things in that story that make you go "hmmm". Why house to house with real people? Why the searching of houses when they're ostensibly just trying to arrest one man? Why an exercise in using Guard troops to apprehend an American for a violation of civilian law? Why does the script read that the the exercise will end with the "arms dealer"'s arrest? Doesn't he get to fight back? Wouldn't that fight be the main part of a paramilitary exercise, since if they were just going to go to his house, tell him he was under arrest, and put him in jail, the local sheriff could have done it.
