This is about my dad's hometown, and what the townspeople there did during WW2. A truly amazing show of respect for the serviceman by a community and region.

The town was on the mainline of the U.P. railroad, and the vast majority of serviceman went through there on their way east or west.

My dad, who is 83, served in the Navy in the south Pacific in WW2.
