Size really does not matter too much. There is usually not a direct impact with the body of the moose unless your driving a semi. Yes bigger will help. The real question is were the moose goes. Even with a pick up they can end up in the cab with you. My best buddy hit one near Kenai years ago. The moose went over the cab and ended up the the truck bed. Actually very little damage to the truck. He had to stop and wait for the troopers and chairty group. It is not a wise idea to take off with the moose you hit. Alaska frowns on that.
