I had already have the bed finish painted (with the angle strips already spot welded). So, I think I will drill new holes at the right spacing, square them out with a triangle file, and drop two extra bolts in the "old" holes like Glen did. If I get really ambitious I might weld them up closed, but I am thinking of the work of repainting, etc, etc.
