You may one of two conditions:
1. Transfer case is in low range (NOT lmao). Are both levers pushed all the way forward?
2. You have high speed diffs and a low speed speedometer gear. (My 1954 has this situation) You are actually going faster than is indicated.
I don't believe that I have ever read any discussion here about the optional gear ranges with respect to speedometer gear ratios. There must be two part numbers, but I am ignorant of the facts about this.
