I can really relate, I have served as an ambulance EMT for about 12 years, and deputy coronor for the county for 4 years.
Sometimes you go on runs and good friends and neighbors are involved.
My good friends daughter was in a wreck where her passenger was DOA, we worked on the people in the other car.
We did not learn untill we got to the hospital as to who was actually in the car.
But when you respond to a call, even when they do not turn out good, at least you know you did your best to help, and that you could help comfort the family.
