Welcome to the Forum. There is a lot to be learned here. many questions get asked and answered over the years.

The short answer is: There are two factory differential ratios, the 5.83, and the 4.89. There are a few trucks (mine for instance) that came from the factory with the high speed gears. There is a company that produces and installs those gear sets on our old trucks.
