OT: Why are Durango prices so low?

The service has taken me overseas and am searching for a good cheap 4x4 that seats seven. The local favorite is a Land Cruiser, but they are so expensive it isn't funny. Was looking at alternatives back in the States to ship over and '05 Dodge Durangos are going cheap! I know the gas prices don't help with those gas guzzlers and the economy is bad, but are there problems with Durangos that I don't know about? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
