It's relatively easy to connect a direct pressure oil gauge to a piece of fuel line or vacuum hose and tee off your oil filter. Can you imagine letting it idle for a few minutes with no oil pressure and not knowing until you find out the expensive and hard way? Same with water temp. A few minutes rigging up a temporary water temp gauge could prevent a blown head gasket or?????
