I took the sample apart. The gear that drives the output is a casting, no way to change the track that the pin rides in to drive the arm.
Further on the reverse side of the final drive gear, you find copper traces that control the dynamic park or coast to park. Either park option is electrically selectable. The dynamic park is nice. Turn off the wiper, no matter where is is in the sweep, it returns to park immediately. To change the sweep would require a total new gear with copper traces. I agree, the output shaft could be modified for our use.

Its a beautiful package, to bad it was designed for a specific application platform.
