Is your late production truck 12 volt? All the late ones I have seen had batteries mounted in right front tool box and had 12 volt. I have nver seen a pre 44 WC51/52 with what appeared to be 12 volt. The no cowl vent trucks I saw were only in pics and there was some discussion about it over on the WW2 forum. I suppose the tube shocks I saw could have been done at a rebuild depot and thinking they were factory was guessing on my part and a few others... .
