I was digging through my radio bone yard, looking to see if I really remembered seeing one of the elusive Mopar 700 radios, when I came across a Mopar model 800. It looks entirely different from the 700. It's very long and fat and mounts with the tuning dial vertical. Anybody have any idea what it could be out of? It would need about a foot and a half behind the instrument panel for it, and a space about 8" tall and 6" wide, maybe more. I haven't tried to see if it works, but it looks like it's all there. It does have a 4-pin connector on the side. Perhaps it was a real "hi-fi" unit and the plug was for an external amplifier. As for the 700, I didn't have one. The one I thought might have been it was a Studebaker. It was roughly the same size, and looked like it was to be mounted on its own rather than in a panel, but it didn't have the deal where the antenna screws straight into the top.
