1. what were the compression readings ?
if over 100 then thats not the problem
2. what size tires ? larger than original
could cause problem
3. Dwell & timing ? did you check ?
4. Brakes might be dragging does it coast
or come to a stop ?
5. these beasts did not have much acceleration to start with as they were designed for 100% off road low speed driving
not anything else
