I have a 1966 W500 for sale, it is an ex-PG&E line truck,
(Pacific Gas & Electric, AKA Pacific Graft & Extorsion)
It has an all steel (diamond plate) bed with D-ring tiedowns,
and toolboxes built in under both sides of the bed. Dual tanks,
(18 gal behind seat & 35-40 under bed) Poly 318 V8 has 60-70 lbs oil
pressure, NO SMOKE! Runs cool, 5 speed DD trans (direct 5th)
It had a deck winch on bed with Gar wood gin pole, these are gone but the
pockets and stabilizers are still on bed. All lights work, Brakes are
vacuum over hydraulic and work EXCELLENT! All glass is good, guages work,
Has good mud&snows on back with Highway treads on front. Has
drive flanges on front, (no locking hubs) Has vacuum trailer brake
unit, Very BEEFY receiver hitch on back as well as pintle,
Truck is currently being used to transport vehicles while Gillys
Auto Wreckers moves to a new location. It is licensed, and has clear title.
It is missing one linkage for the transfer case lever to case, and the
E-brake lever and linkage is gone, I think they were removed when the PTO and
deck winch were by PG&E. There is NO RUST THROUGH AYWHERE! It still
sports the original PG&E brown & tan paint job, there is a dent in the
passenger side fender flare (repairable) the hood and drivers door
have been replaced, (Thus, power wagon emblems are gone)
I am looking at some other vehicles to buy and I will sacrifice
this truck for $3500.00 FIRM, It will be available for purchase
