I own a 53 dodge M37 and have been trying to get it running for the past six months. I have had too much work done to list, but most of the obvious stuff has been done: spark plugs,wires, etc.. The problem:
The truck starts and runs okay, but misses quite frequently and backfires even to the point that it is undriveable. This truck ran great for two years previous to this with very few problems other than it ran a little rich and tended to fuel foul plugs. It has an electric fuel pump regulated to 1 PSI of pressure -- the recommended. I don't know what to do... some help would be greatly appreciated.
