Are you taking a group of fanatic anti-gun, screaming voices; and calling them DEMOCRATS? Please don't point out a far right wing extremist group, and make them sound like they represent the whole Democratic party! I am astounded that people actually believe that there are not "middle of the road" & intelligent Democrats! Do you really believe that democrats will vote for a gun law because it will have an effect on crime? Most intelligent people of either party know that the gun issue has nothing to do with reducing violent crime! Out of five murders in the city nearest me in the past week; all five were beating deaths! The people you hear from on anti-gun laws; are one issue voters! As for the NRA, I sincerely appreciate your offer (genuine); but I'm inclined to watch what happens in the next three months, before I re-join the NRA. Yes, re-join, I have been a member for most of my life; and I know they have extremely dedicated upstanding membership; I am currently opposed to the leadership. I believe that when they get into politicing, the lose power and credibility. In order for us to keep the freeddom of the 2nd ammendment, they need to appeal to ALL Americans. Will you still pay for my memhership in December? (Just kidding). I have two scenrio's for someone to run away with here----Has it ever occured to anyone, that the Federal Government is responsible for violent crime?--They ahve way more fire power than any of us ever hope to; and I'm not talking about the military......And, this is more of a question, Wasn't (it was) George Bush Sr. that cut up his NRA membership card on national T.V? Anyone remember what that was about? Sincere question. By the way good comment up there Eric; and thanks Andy for your comments to me.
