You are on the right track but some of the old American jacks are hard to get parts for as the companies got bought up and or went out of buisness. Blackhawk and Weaver parts are still available. I have had a Weaver 2 1/2 ton floor jack for maney years and it is really all you need for just Power Wagons as it will easily lift one end or one side. I just last week bought and old 10 ton Weaver at an auction that needed rebuilding. Check with your local jack guy for which ones they can still get parts for. They won't even consider fixing any of the Tiwan or "throw away" jacks so don't bother with those. My small Weaver has these cool streamlined cast iron castor covers with wings cast into the sides of them. An old guy down the road has an old Blackhawk that looks to be about a four ton that has a stream lined tear drop head light on it of all things. Some of these things are a work of art.
