Sorry I cannot answer questions 1 & 2 but the "Spitfire" engine is the Chrysler 6 used in the Windsor series and is longer than the Dodge 6 used in Power Wagons. Chryslers usually used the Fluid Drive transmission while Power Wagons used the manual shift, and the bolt pattern on the back of the crankshaft differed between the two. Also, a Dodge 6 equipped with Fluid Drive engine will not work in a PW. If this isn't confusing enough, there was also a DeSoto 6 that was longer than the Dodge, shorter than the Chrysler.
