The "X" stands for prototype. I coulda bought a M-211 a year ago for $300. It was in semi tractor configuration. It had a bad trans but the engine ran good. It had a good spare engine and trans on back....SHoulda, Coulda, WOulda, but didnt. I dont care for any vehicle with an automatic, but that is just me tho. The 302 GMC inline six engine is a good lugger. Those engines run for ever it seems. If it is a freebie, I would go for it, no matter what shape, and if too far gone to fix, then part it.

I am looking into locating a Dodge Prototype 8X8 built in the late 50's which is one of six. It is in my area and someday I will find it.
