Britain and Australia's constitutions call for their domestic defense to be solely the responsibility of the Common Wealth. This does not include an explicit written right to bear arms. Our 2nd amendment, of course, refers to our rights to defend ourselves against domestic intrusion, not rely on the government. Our government structure really is quite different from theirs. For example, both of their constitutions still refer to citizens as subjects to the Queen. So they are probably not real relevant comparisons, the fact is, we are really quite unique. Thank God. Keep the faith that ours will stand - it has stood longer than any existing government on the planet. Thanks.
