That went right over your head.
It is the thought process of whomever called in that is in question here.
Cylindrical object + man + army truck = militia nut on rampage.

There was a case reported in Military Vehicles Magazine about a military vehicle that backfired. Reports came in that someone was shooting from an army truck. Since the President or VP happened to be in the area, the cops went ballistic and descended upon all MV's and MV owners in the area, who happened to be coming back from a rally. They even pulled them out of restaurants and harassed them. Several vehicles were confiscated, as well as dummy weapons. Some took months to get everything back.
Needless to say, those on the receiving end were mighty pissed.
So, are you going to tell them they should lighten up too?
