About 15 years ago my father had an 80 ( I think) dodge D 100 with a slant 6 and automatic. He was a roofer, one day we loaded my goofy motors 1979 K25 with a 350 with scrap shigles . We loaded both truck up like snow cones. both were dragging *ss. His Dodge was faster away from the stoplights and much faster up the hills. The Slant 6 has a long stroke , therefore it has a lot of torque.
