The basic concept of the body is indeed a modern streamlined evolution of the WDX style Power Wagon. It's a good concept of what you'd have if the wide bodies hadn't displaced the flat fenders. However, they have forgotten that in the Power Wagon, form followed functionability. I see nothing functional for heavy use in the ash lined bed, nor a spare tire or jerry can mounted on the running board.

The tail lights are partially offset outside the bed. I suppose this is to make them look more old fashioned, yet with a novel new flair. However, it is not new or novel. Many gravel and dump truck bodies use this same concept, sans streamlining of course.

And it is so chocked full of impractical ideas that it is evident it is being marketed to yuppie verminskum and not to real world pickup users. My rather crude yardstick for this is whether a pickup will be offered in a flatbed or cab/chassis for farm use. I rather doubt this one will be.

I also doubt the fenders are steel. Most likely the body is mainly plastic. How is that going to hold up off road? Would someone dare to drive this at Rubicon or Moab?

At least the cab shares the orignal concept of being cramped for space. I suppose we can chalk that up to a plus for orignality.

They also obvioulsy haven't learned about physics. I don't care how big a winch it has, it ain't gunna pull no 18-wheeler out of a ditch unless they anchor it to an immovable object, and then is the frame going to take the stress?

"This is not your fathers Power Wagon". Yeah, got that right. I think most of us would rather keep our fathers Power Wagon.

Oh yeah, they stopped making the PW in 1946? I thought the WDX was in prototype in 46 and went into full production in 47 and ran until 1968. Boy, talk about doing your homework.
