I had a 73 D-100 that melted the harness and it seems that I replaced the bad wires myself and wrapped them to look like the harness. I got gang plugs from the local auto salvage engineer. Solder and shrink wrap splices, splice connectors just don't work as well as they should. I think Chrysler had some bad harnesses in the early 70's.
