I have been trying to find time to upload instructions for sealing the windshield with polytube This method costs less than $10 and seals the window perfectly (unlike the original rubber that leaks like a sieve). It can be bought at home improvement stores and is 1/2" in diam. It is used to fill crackes around house windows before caulking them and is polyethelene foam that looks like a giant noodle. Glue it over the slot that the original rubber went into using Barge contact cement. and that should take care of your problem. It comes in a mutitude of colors so try to find a neutral one such as gray.
