1973 I was trading the Schwinn stingray with banana seat for a Schwninn Varsity 10 Speed . The top of the line was the Crate chopperbikes remember them, Orange crate Apple crate. 5 speed stingrays banana seat w sissy bar and front drum brake. The town was installing sewers on our block. All summer long we watched the diggers rip up everyones front lawn and the street. The town used early 70'S Power Wagons as its public service vehicles. Those big muddy trucks must have made an impression on a young formative mind. Thanks for jogging some great memories.life was good at 12
