Hi Chris. An old mechanic years ago rebuilt a couple of engines. He recommended running up to about 60 or so and then backing off the fuel, letting the vehicle slow all the way back to about 20, down shift and go through the gears again back up to 60, then do it again, over and over and over. The idea was to seat the rings by flushing them with plenty of oil, with minimal combustion going on. I did this whenever possible for the first 200 miles and each engine gave me miles of trouble free, strong running. Of course you will have to get some really tall tires and some really tall gears to get to 60, but I'm sure the same principle would be true at 45. :) JH
