I don't know what was OE, but I did bolt them in the front, two bolts in the outer, wider boards, one each in the middle ones.

I used stainless bolts, and assembled it on the truck. Not such good access reaching around crossmembers, muffler, drive shafts,etc. My 88 year old Dad and I both got seasick from rolling around and working up-side down. Take some Dramamine. Or do it ove a couple evenings.
