Chris,
Do you have a picture of the front of your bed?
I have an early 2nd series like yours (with 6 boards) that I am assembling.
The 1st series trucks had the bed boards through bolted at the front end of them to the underneath lip of the head board. Is your truck like that too?
I know the "late" second series (with more boards) were different than the early 2nd series.
