Absolutely ! I would rather make a bunch of short pulls than a long one and end up with a mess of rats nests. Chris; you need to design a level winder for our winches like on a fishing reel. I volunteer for field testing.

On my Bombardier with a Braden HU8 Hydraulic, I only run 50 feet of cable so I can get as much pull as possible. But I carry two extra lengths of 50 feet of cable.
