Where I work, we do lots of split ring rims for highway and construction equipment.Of course we have a cage, but in the old days we used chain wrapped through the holes as Chris talked about. We also air up with a clip on OSHA approved air chuck and we seat the ring at 10 lbs of air.Unless the tire is going to work on the vehicle right away, we will store it with 10lbs untill use. Dan H
