I saw this car rcently featured on an episode of "Chasing Cassic Cars". Sold at auction for between 7 and 8 hundred thousand. Car purchased by a collector in Connecticut who cleaned it up and was driving it. Show host estimated car to be worth about 1.5 million in its current unrestored condition which is the way it should remain in most peoples opinion.
As far as Barrett Jackson is concerned, I personally know a buyer and seller who wont be attending this year because he ran his business just like he bought and sold cars, which is to say he was an idiot. BJ is a very poor indicator of anything except that drunk people with a lot of money or credit are capable of doing very silly things.
Better look for some other leading indicator of car values or you will end up with a distorted view. Example-Home values, stock values,etc.
