Way back (1957) our Auto Shop class had a 55 or 56 Desoto Hemi engine that had been donated by The Factory Rep in Seattle. It just sat there and went farther back in the corner everytime something was moved. I asked our teacher if I could buy it and got it for $50.00. We put it in a 36 Ford coupe. That engine could ruin the Ford transmission so easily if you weren't careful. The wieght made the car look as if it had a dropped axle. Fun times at Olympia High.
