It was a looong trip but we made it back last night at 8:00 pm from our trip to Texas and Oklahoma. We picked up two 58 Power Giants one of which goes to CT and the other will end up in Iowa. It was the longest drive I've been on at 2595 miles total in 4 days. I want to thank Jeff and Wallene Thomas for the hospitality and putting us up for the night. The trip was uneventfull but my daughter and her son had a good time and saw plenty of sights. We kept track of license plates and came up with 31 states and two from Cananda. One thing that stood out for me is that Texas loves 2nd and 3rd generation Dodge trucks. I couldn't believe that they were everywhere. Way to go Texas. The other thing was the fuel prices ranging from $2.69 for bio diesel to $1.99 for #2. Gas was 1.85 to $1.25. We burnt up plenty of fuel but at least the price was down from this summer's highs. I'm waiting to see if we take off to deliver one of the trucks to CT and pick one up from Kevin in Rehoboth on Saturday. I figured I've got my seat and backside molded to each other so why stop now, LOL.
