Tom,
I agree with you on the extended time thing. The problem I ran into was I wanted a large drill press, Bridgeport mill and various smaller items. It was a Dovebid online auction and started placing bids on things. Auctions started overlapping and you couldn't keep up with all then items going off and ended up with 2 presses. Not a bad thing but they actually lost some of my bids as I didn't want 3 Bridgeports. The one I did bid on I got oubid on while the others went off while I was watching/bidding on the first one.

I can't understand the local sale thing either. You should do that FIRST before entering Ebay. If your just using Ebay as advertisement then you should pay the fees I guess. Trust me, I'm the last one who wants to help Ebay dig more money out of us.

They've ruined what was a nice selling option with all the changes. Once again too many people trying to generate more profit for the company when THEIR profits start going down. Manditory Paypal is a monopoly ploy to dig another 3% out of ALL sales, plain and simple. Have you noticed how many fewer REAL listings they're are? By real I mean didfferent sellers, not one seller with 75 listings for the same thing which Ebay now seems to want to cater to.

A rather large block of us have stopped listing trying to send a message to them. They probably don't care but I hope another party starts up something similar soon. I'm sure Ebay's lawyers will be all over them for "copyright" infringemnets though. Kevin
