When i was a kid we had a Archway cookie factory up at the end of our street. They had a large open area that they kept mowed for us to play football on. After a couple of hours of football we would go to a certain window, right where the cookies would come out of the ovens, and a man would bring us huge piles of whatever was being baked at the time.
If we missed the batch coming out we would go to the packaging end and the ladies there would give us piles from the scrap barrels at the end of the line. Life was good!!
