There are quite a few alternative gun auction sites, but they're only exploiting ebay's biggest failing. Somebody needs to create a real general-purpose auction site that we can use for everything, including Dodge truck parts. I hear these ads that say "Amazon.com has auctions", but they sound exactly like the old "Yahoo.com has auctions" ads from a couple years ago, and after poking all around on Amazon.com, I haven't been able to find any auctions. If they do exist, they're well hidden.
