I'll let you figure out which ones. I don't want to waste a lot of forum space on this, after already having blathered too much on other OTs. If you don't know what I mean by "mutually exclusive", here's the simple engineering example:

"Faster, Better, Cheaper; pick two."

The trouble with real honest politics as practiced by true statesmen, is that it requires accepting that choices have to be made. We haven't had that kind of politics for 80 years or so in this country. Instead we tell everybody, liberal or conservative, that they can have everything they want. Whenever the equations don't balance, we just throw some more money at one issue or another.

Look at your random thoughts, eliminate one out of every pair that's mutually exclusive, and you'll be closer to something that might work.
