Thank you to everyone for your help. I wanted to make sure there was no mixture adjustment other than the idle mixture (besides repairing the vacuum leak at the manifold-to-vacuum-wiper line). I plugged the non-functioning vacuum line years ago w/ a hose and a plug in it, and the hose was now dried out and split on the back side. I also haven't adjusted the idle mixture for dense winter air. So the plan is to effectively plug the vacuum wiper line, and readjust the idle mixture, if necessary, to eliminate a lean popping.
Is there an accelerator pump adjustment on an E7S1? I remember this is a vacuum-actuated acc. pump. If there is any adjustmenmt, I will do this last, after correcting my idle, once I get some newer fuel through it for a while.
What a difference some fresh gas makes, it acts like a different animal altogether! Thanks to all for all your help.
