It gets worse. I had 2 family friends have their family homeplaces taken by eminant domain. County/local government decided their "open" land would be better for low income housing in one instance. It's a blantant abuse of program, using it for gain to the local government. They can make more off of the taxes as residential than farm ground. Hiding it all under the clause of needed housing.
It doesn't matter that the towns grew around THEM, they just have the so called legal means to take them as they see fit. Sounds like another country in the history books to me. I can understand a road way and such, but housing?
