There are some pictures of Power Wagons in the far north with aircraft 16 tires fitted on widened wheels 10 to 13 in depending upon
the size of the tire used as unserviceable aircraft tires were cheap and as the use was
off road the wheels did not have to be that
true whereas Michelin 11.00r16 XS were very
expensive probably well over 400 buckaroos
along with an expensive michelin AirStop tube
the picture of the ARAMCO truck was made in
the 40's before michelin entered big time into the OIL Exploration Tire business
