It was a 56" OD. I think it was Dayco BP53. The Dayco industrial belt numbers don't match the OD of the belt. I measured the belt with a string around the outside and it was definitely 56", but there was gobs of slop even with the generator as far out as it would go. I always have a hard time getting belts to fit by measuring them. It seems like I always have to try a couple to get it right. I have probably 100 brand new belts of all lengths in my surplus pile, but all the ones that are anywhere near fan belt length are A size. If you put an A belt on a B pulley, it just runs against the bottom of the groove, slips a lot, and gets round on the bottom. Now you've got me worried that the 52" will be too short. I guess if it is, I'll split the difference and get a 54". It's odd that 55" works fine on yours. I'm sure I have a totally stock setup now, though it's possible my generator pulley is smaller than yours. It looks rather small to me, but I don't have any other one to compare it to. It's definitely smaller than the alternator pulleys on my M35s.
